Its multicolour gradient panels move from red and yellow to green, blue and purple, and the star-shaped cut-outs throw a festive pattern of light when a bulb glows inside. The lantern ships flat in a protective waterproof packet. To set it up, unfold the seven points into shape and hang it using the thread attached to the lantern. After the festival, fold it flat again and store it for next year. Use it unlit as a decorative hanging star, or place an LED bulb on a hanging holder inside for a soft night-time glow.
