• WHITE MACRAME LEAF PAIR - PLEASE CHECK THE SIZE FIRST: This piece measures about 14 x 38 cm (14 cm across, 38 cm from top to bottom) and you get 2 pieces. Product photos are shot close up, so it looks larger on screen than it is on the wall - please go by the centimetres above, not by the picture. Made of cotton rope, combed into a fringe.
• WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE: It is two natural cream macrame leaves, each combed out into a soft fringe and finished with a hanging loop. Every knot is tied by hand, so the fringe, the knot spacing and the bead placement differ a little from one piece to the next. The cotton is left in its natural weave rather than pressed flat, which is what gives macrame its texture on a plain wall.
• WALL HANGING DECORATION & TAPESTRY FOR BEDROOM - TWO PIECES FOR AN ARRANGEMENT: A single leaf looks lost on a big wall - a pair lets you stagger them at different heights, frame a mirror or a photo, or sit them either side of a shelf. At 38 cm each they suit a study nook, a bedside wall, a nursery or a gallery wall next to frames. Each leaf comes with its own loop, so no drilling is needed.
• There is nothing religious or gendered on it, so it suits a hostel room, a rented flat or a first home equally. It folds flat into its box, weighs very little and does not break in transit, which makes it easy to post or carry across cities.
• HANDMADE IN MERTA CITY, RAJASTHAN BY JH GALLERY ARTISANS: Every piece is knotted and then combed out into a fringe by hand in our own workshop, not bought in and relabelled. Small differences in fringe and bead placement between pieces are the mark of real handwork, not a fault. Care: dust with a dry cloth or a soft brush, keep it dry and out of direct afternoon sun. The fringe often arrives flattened from the box - run a comb or your fingers through it once and it opens right out.
